My wife, Wendy, who is unquestionably the greatest OGO in my life — My "O Great One!" — has lived with diabetes since she was seven years old. Her strength and resolve as she has fought the effects of this disease have always been an inspiration to me, our entire family, and so many others.
One hundred percent of the profits received from the sale of O Great One! will be donated to the Wendy L. Novak Diabetes Care Center and other organizations leading the fight against type 1 diabetes (T1D) — formerly known as juvenile diabetes. David’s wife, Wendy, has dealt with the disease since she was a child. The Wendy Novak Diabetes Care Center is a state-of-the-art center at Kosair Children’s Hospital, named in her honor, that provides education and comprehensive care for children with type 1 diabetes.
Diabetes is a devastating disease, especially when it affects children. Receiving the proper education and treatment for blood sugar control helps reduce the risks for complications that can include blindness, nerve disease, kidney damage and cardiovascular disease.
